RGV Ropes In Tamil Star ‘Suriya’ For ‘Rakta Charitra’


Ace film director Ram Gopal Varma has offered a chance to Suriya, the most successful actor from Tamil film industry, to showcase his talent in Bollywood.

The big news doing the rounds is that Suryia is making entry in the Hindi film industry.

RGV has roped in Suriya for his ambitious bilingual project 'Rakta Charitra' to be simultaneously made in Hindi as well as Tamil.

The film is based on Naxalite gang war.

According to sources, Vivek Oberoi portrays the role of a rebel-turned politician Paritala Ravi, whereas Suriya will be seen doing a key role as Maddalcheruvu Suri, Paritala Ravi's opponent.
According to sources, Suriya's role is almost equal to the lead protagonist.

The film will be made in two parts as 'Rakta Charitra 1' and 'Rakta Charitra 2'. While the first part shows the rise of Paritala Ravi from forest to ballot, and the other one deals with how he was trapped in the plans of enemies.

Suriya, which share a great rapport with RGV, was really impressed with director's one-hour narration of screenplay.

An elated Suriya said, "The film will be made in Two Parts and I will be introduced precisely during penultimate sequences of first part."

Produced by Madhu Mantena, the shooting of the film will be started in August 2009. Moreover, RGV had revealed the first look of Vivek before few months.

It should be noted that Surya's loving wife Jyothika made her Bollywood debut with Priyadarshan's 'Doli Saja Ke Rakhna'.
