'Consumers should boycott dealing with ICICI'

A consumer body on Wednesday appealed to consumers across the country to boycott ICICI Bank.

Deploring the "arm-twisting" methods on part of the bank to recover loan, founder of the Akhil Bharatiya Grahak Panchayat, Bindumadhav Joshi, asked all the panchayat branches to boycott transactions involving ICICI with immediate effect.

Joshi in a statement, said the recent incident concerning malpractices of ICICI should be made a rallying point by consumer rights activists to defeat the exploitative tendencies affecting interests of the common man.
