The Praja Rajyam general secretary and Chiranjeevi’s brother-in-law, Mr Allu Aravind, on Tuesday said the vicious campaign by the rival parties that the PR had kept a price tag for tickets damaged the credibility of the party in the elections.
According to him, it was one of the reasons for the party’s dismal performance in the polls. While speaking to scribes at the PR headquarters in Hyderabad, Mr Aravind said the PR detractors strategically cast aspersions on the PR top brass only to scuttle its poll prospects. He denied that the party tickets were sold.
Mr Aravind challenged his rivals and said that he was ready to quit the party if any of the allegations levelled against him were proved. “Everyone in Tollywood knows about my integrity,” he said.
