Maha Kutami edges ahead in Prakasam
Maha Kutami, despite all exit poll surveys, seems to be edging ahead slowly but surely as per 123telugu’s survey. In the politically surcharged Prakasam District the TDP-led alliance seems to be sure of winning a minimum of 5 seats. They are: Yerragondapalem, Darshi, Addanki, Kandukur, and Markapuram. The Congress on the other hand is definitely ahead only in Ongole and Santhanuthalapadu. The PRP does not seem to have influenced the voters in any meaningful manner in Prakasam district. As in other districts, Prakasam too has at least 5 constituencies that are too close to call. They are: Yerragondapalem, Parchevur, Chirala, Kondapi, Giddalur and Kanigiri. In all these constituencies the fight is between the TDP and the Congress. On the LS front, Magunta Srinivasula Reddy of the ruling party is sure of winning the Ongole Parliamentary elections. Addanki in Ongole gained notoriety for the constituency that had unofficial spends of up to Rs. 30 crores. Prakasam has traditionally been a Congress stronghold. The very fact that the TDP-led alliance is projected to win more seats shows that there definitely has been an anti-incumbency factor at work here.
