Days after hitting out at the party leadership over selection of candidates, noted physician and Indian Medical Association (IMA) president G Samaram quit the Prajarajyam Party on Monday.
He told reporters that he had never imagined that money would alone be the criterion in the selection of candidates in Chiranjeevi's party. He said he had decided to quit the party as Chiranjeevi was not responding to the grievances of the party leaders at the ground level.
He said he would not join any other party as he has no money power to become a successful politician.

"I had joined the PRP with a hope that it would bring about the desired social change the society was anxiously waiting for. But, unfortunately, the PRP is no different from other mainstream parties," he added.
