Chandrababu Naidu, in a last ditch effort played the black money card. Addressing a huge rally at Kothagudeam in Khammam, the TDP leader said that there was Rs. 75 lakh crores of black money held in various Swiss banks by Congress leaders. Chandrababu said that the 3rd front will come to power and put pressure on the Swiss authorities to get this money back to India. With this money Chandrababu said that the Rs. 2000 cash transfer scheme can be easily implemented. B.V. Raghavaulu went one step ahead and promised that even Rs. 4000 cash transfer scheme can be implemented, if that black money was given back to India. It really was amusing theatre to watch these two leaders talk about enforcing International banking laws to extract black money and then using that money to subsidize welfare schemes for a particular state! Veteran communist leader also joined the chorus and said it was time that the corrupt Congress was sent home.
