Anjaneyulu Reddy’s resignation from the PRP has shaken the party’s think tank out of its policy slumber. Allu Arvind and Nagababu rushed to the home of the former IPS officer and pleaded with him to reconsider his resignation. When Anjaneyulu Reddy did not respond to them, they rushed back to Chiranjeevi and asked him to initiate some remedial action. Chiranjeevi said he had no hesitation in apologizing to Anjaneyulu Reddy. At around 5 pm Chiranjeevi met the former IPS officer at his residence and had an hour’s chat with him. According to reports emerging Anjaneyulu Reddy appeared to soften down a bit. He however was not immediately willing to reconsider his decision. He also declined to meet the media after the discussions. However according to sources close to the party, Anjaneyulu Reddy has laid down specific conditions regarding his role in the functioning of the party and has told the PRP chief in no uncertain terms that he will only reconsider his decision if those conditions are met.
