The dissidence in PRP is taking ugly turns. Effigies of Allu Arvind were burnt along with the effigies of the local candidates (like Sriramulu in Tanuku). At least 6 major fans associations have gone on record to state that they will not support Chiranjeevi in the coming elections. Dissidents conducted rasta roko in Vijayawada highway and alleged that Allu Arvind had sold party tickets for huge sums of monies. If all Allu Arvind wanted was money, they said, they would have gladly collected donations and handed him the money. They said industrialists and rowdy elements were given priority over loyal party workers. TDP Mahila President Roja has reportedly said that the PRP is all set to witness a major exodus within the next two or three days. On his part, Chiranjeevi responded by saying that all the dissidence was emanating from power hungry ticket seekers, and their departure was in no way detrimental to the party.
