The high profile Telugu Mahila chief Roja is now surprisingly silent. She fought with her boss the TDP chief Chandra Babu Naiu for a party ticket and managed to contest from Chandragiri. She undertook a high profile campaign and was sure of her victory.
But she faced a formidable opponent in the form of minister Galla Aruna Kumari. Aruna Kumari of the congress party gave a tough fight to Roja. It is now being said that Roja may not have done as well as expected and that Aruna Kumari has a clear edge over her. Roja is now facing defeat say political observers in her constituency.
It is for this reason that Roja is now maintaining a low profile. She made some sarcastic comments on Aruna Kumari calling her illiterate. But all said and done, Roja seems to have reconciled herself to a defeat at the hustings.
