Slowly but surely it has now begun to sink into the leaders of the Congress and the TDP that Chiranjeevi’s PRP might be the king maker. Not too long ago TDP and Congress leaders had written PRP off as a one-man show that will at best slice and dice votes in a few constituencies in the Kaapu-dominated Guntur district. But now reports are emerging that Chiranjeevi’s party has exercised quite a considerable pull in Krishna, Nellore, Prakasam, Anantapur and Rayalaseema districts as well. The TDP, which at the end of the first phase was very sure of forming the government along with its Kutami partners now, is very open to the possibility that it might fall short by 10 or more seats. The Congress, for all the confidence that its CM exudes, is also aware that a 115 to 120 seats would be its maximum reach. Chiranjeevi who was once the object of ridicule for his lack of awareness is now the apple of the eye for both the Congress and the TDP. The TDP especially is making friendly overtures with the PRP stating that Chandrababu Naidu leader always had good relations with Chiranjeevi!
