Pursuit of power is taking a toll on Chiranjeevi’s personal relationships. His long time friend, well-wisher and one of the inside member s of PRP think tank, Pucchalapalli Mitra is all set to leave the PRP. His exit, could even be by the end of this month or definitely before the results are announced. Mitra is Allu Arvind’s childhood friend. He later became a confidant of Chiranjeevi. Mitra was one of the key members in the PRP who was instrumental in that party initiating a dialogue with the left parties. His lack of clout came into focus the moment he could not secure a tie-up with the left. From then his importance within the party’s decision making process was diminished and as the elections drew near and seats were announced he quietly faded into the background. It was also rumoured that he was disappointed that he could not secure an MP seat from Nellore. But PRP insiders dismiss that as mere rumors.
