YSR says the only issue in Telengana is development
Dr YSR Reddy while addressing the Meet-the-Press programme organized by the AP Union of Working Journalists in Hyderabad said that the only priority for him in Telengana was development. He said he has been pressing the Center to give National status for Polavaram, and Pranahita-Chevella projects. He gave the rationale behind national status saying that, once completed, the projects would provide drinking water to Hyderabad as well as feed 20 tanks across Adilabad, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Warangal, Nalgonda, Medak and Ranga Reddy districts. On the issue of Telengana, he reminded the gathering that KCR would not have started the TRS had he been given a ministry in the TDP cabinet in 1999.
