Chiranjeevi scotches Allu’s resignation rumors
The PRP was a divided house yesterday. Party cadre and second-rung leadership squarely put the blame for the party’s defeat on Allu Arvind’s cash-for-seat scheme. His family-centric, autocratic style of functioning was questioned by all the members present in the gathering. An obviously agitated Allu Arvind left the meeting in a huff. There were also reports that he had resigned from the party. Chiranjeevi had to address the media late in the evening to dismiss those reports as mere rumors. Sources close to the party are saying that Pavan Kalyan and Naga babu too are hurt by Allu Arvind’s less than transparent manner of functioning and have reportedly made it clear to their elder brother to keep Allu in check. Hari Rama Jogayya too was at the receiving end for allegedly misleading Chiranjeevi into thinking that the PRP chief will easily win from Palacole. Hari Rama Jogayya walked away from the meeting citing health reasons.
