Chandrababu is keeping his options open on Telengana but for all practical purposes will severe his party's ties with the TRS. A decision to this effect is most likely to be finalized during the party's 2-day Mahanaadu held here in Hyderabad. There is a strong feeling in the party that the alliance with TRS had resulted in loss of at least 40 seats which could have brought the party back to power. Leaders opposing the TRS also point out that the TDP losing the Secunderabad and Secunderabad Cantonment seats was due to its alliance with the TRS. The Mahanadu will also discuss the strategies for strengthening the party unit and revamping it at various levels. Matinee idols Balakrishna and NTR Jr. would also be invited to the 2-day event which will conclude tomorrow.
