No. It is not because that the survey has predicted only 30% votes to the TDP as opposed to 45% for the Congress. Chandrababu is a seasoned politician and he knows he has the time to sway public opinion on issues of governance. What CBN is worried is much more fundamental and something he believes that cannot be changed before the polls. The issue of Telengana is worrying CBN. According to the survey 52% of the respondents across the state were against a separate statehood for Telengana. Chandrababu’s worst fear about his alliance with the TTRS has now come back to haunt him. If this vote block sways the other way, Chandrababu can pretty much lose hope in the Andhra region. What is more worrying is 24% of the respondents in the Telengana region also were against a separate state. These numbers do not bode well for the members of the Grand Alliance. An association with KCR, it would seem, has many shades of grey.
