Congress has secured 1,53,75,962 of the total 4,20,87,091 votes polled in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections.
The main opposition Telugu Desam Party obtained 1,17,96,632 votes (28.03 per cent), while Chiranjeevi's Praja Rajyam Party came third with 67,82,762 (16.12 per cent) votes, official sources said today.
The Telangana Rashtra Samiti got 1,67,8811 votes (3.99 per cent), while BJP obtained 12,51,408 (2.97 per cent) votes.
The share of CPI and CPI(M) is 4,60,741 (1.09 per cent) and 6,03,407 (1.43 per cent) votes respectively.
Lok Satta Party of bureaucrat-turned-politician N Jayaprakash Narayan, who got elected as MLA from Kukatpally here, got 7,35,150 votes (1.75 per cent).
Independents and others secured 19,17,197 (4.56 per cent) and 11,35,132 (2.7 per cent) votes respectively.
The Congress has won 156 seats in the 294-member assembly with 36.53 per cent votes, while the TDP bagged 92 seats.
The Praja Rajyam and TRS won 18 and 10 seats respectively. The strength of other parties is MIM-7, CPI-4, Independents-3, BJP-2, CPI(M)-1 and Lok Satta Party-1.
