Rumblings surfaced in Delhi BJP today with a meeting called here to take stock of its poll debacle turning into a stormy affair.
Allegations flew thick and fast with three party candidates blaming some of their colleagues for the crushing defeat of the BJP which lost in all the seven seats in Delhi.
The candidates blamed infighting in the party for the drubbing, saying party workers who were given specific responsibilities did not do anything.
South Delhi candidate Ramesh Bidhuri and Chandni Chowk candidate Vijendra Gupta were more vocal in the meeting, sources said, adding there was heated exchange of words.
Senior leaders, including Delhi BJP chief O P Kohli and V K Malhotra said the party will have to analyse the election results in details.
When contacted, Kohli said nobody should be made a "scapegoat for the defeat" and the party would sit together to find out the reasons for the debacle.
A meeting of the executive council will be held tomorrow to analyse the results.
