Every time NTR jr. holds a microphone in his hand, he instils fear in the opposition. His latest rally in Bhimli beach in Visakhapatnam was a mammoth one even by his standards. A sea of yellow and red flags greeted the young star and he did not disappoint them with his direct and deadly verbal bombs on the Congress. This time the target was Sonia Gandhi. Just like his grandfather took on Rajiv and Indira Gandhi, NTR jr. trained his guns on Sonia. He said she represents Italian Congress and has got that same brand of mafia and dictatorship culture into the Indian Congress. Tongue-in-cheek he remarked that she would do a Mussoilini and Hitler proud. A few Congress leaders, that this correspondent spoke to, admitted that North Coastal Andhra was fast slipping from their grasp. NTR jr, i their opinion, might have altered the equation decisively in the TDP’s favour. Watching the speech clipping on TV they were seen shaking their head in disbelief and wondering aloud if someone like “Mahesh Babu or Nagarjuna” can stop this tide of sentiment!
