With March 23, the date for filing nominations fast approaching, the TDP and its alliance partners on Thursday intensified their efforts to give a final shape to the process of seat sharing.
TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao called on TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday and discussed with him for over two hours the seats on which there is a tie between TRS and the Left on the one hand and the TRS and TDP on the other. Later, CPM state secretary B V Raghavulu also met Naidu and discussed the issue. It is learnt that the partners had arrived at an understanding on most of the seats. Party sources said that it would require another one or two sittings to sort out the differences on the remaining seats which were not more than four or five.
