After his rousing speeches in the public, NTR Jr. is displaying maturity beyond his age when interacting with the media. He assured the TDP that North Andhra was theirs for the taking if they exercised caution in selection of candidates. Speaking to the reporters on Wednesday at S Kota the mercurial actor choose his words with care. He replied there was no truth in the rumours that the TDP’s stronghold in north coastal Andhra has become weaker after some top leaders left the party. “Old blood goes away and new blood enters. This should be accepted by all, he said. He responded to the oft-repeated criticism by the Congress and the PRP as to why he was giving assurances on behalf of welfare measures promised by Chandrababu Naidu. Without mentioning Chandrababu by name, NTR jr. replied that he would, in his capacity as a party worker demand that the schemes be implemented. He replied in the negative when asked if he would be contesting in the forthcoming elections.
