Satyam’s think tank is drawing another (long) list of employees to be subjected to its version of “humane” treatment. This lot is indeed very special. In all probability the numbers will be in between 4000 to 4800. And unlike the previous 9100 plus employees, the “associates” in the second list will be subject to a swift and sure expulsion. No VPP or four months of basic pay or any such concessions. The list in all likelihood will be announced either today or tomorrow. And theemployees in that list will be asked to leave by Friday 26th June. This will bring the remaining number of Satyamites to a little over 25,000. And then if all likelihood, the total number of operational offices in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai will come down from a Sep 2008 high of 32 to an all time low of 6. It is by now a certainty that Pune will be the H O of Tech M Satyam or Mahindra Satyam
