YSR terms '09 elections a conflict between credibility and deceit
The 2nd time victorious CM in his swearing-in ceremony speech termed the 2009 polls a direct conflict between the credibility of the Congress party and the deceit of the TDP-led Mahakutami. He reminded the people that he promised nothing anew except betterment of the existing schemes. Regarding the opposition, Dr YSR Reddy said they were insecure and promised schemes that defied believability. The Congress party, the CM said was a party with a history of being committed to the poor and the downtrodden. He praised the far-reaching vision of Sonia Gandhi and the proven leadership of Dr Manmohan Singh. He termed the Rajiv Arogyasri and loan waiver as path-breaking schemes that revolutionized the quality of life of the poor, small and marginal famers. He asked the Congress cadre to be humble in their victory and dedicate themselves to the service of the poor.
