Telugu Desam president should emulate the example of Mohd Ghazni who invaded India unsuccessfully for 17 times and finally achieved what he wanted.This bizarre advice came from none other than his nephew and film star NT Rama Rao Jr. His intention was that one should not be deterred by one or two defeats and must continue the efforts till the objective was achieved.
However, this advice raised many eyebrows as the advice was not appropriate and showed the ignorance on part of the film star. Even the star did not know the name of the invader and stated it was Mod Ghori instead of Ghazni.N.T.Rama Rao Jr was speaking on the occasion of the Telugu Desam party founder NT Rama Rao’s birth anniversary which was celebrated as part of Mahanadu, here today.NTR Jr advised his uncle not to lose heart as Abraham Lincoln achieved victory after several losses, Nelson Mandela was in prison for about 27 years and said that resilience would pay rich dividends.NT Rama Rao’s son and film star Balakrishna stated that the party leaders should strive to restore the past glory of the party.NTR awards were presented to veteran film producer DVS Raju, veteran artistes Gummadi Venkateswara Rao, Geetanjali, Gummadi Gopalakrishna and noted poet C Narayana Reddy. Meanwhile, the Mahanadu adopted a resolution seeking Bharata Ratna to NT Rama Rao. Party president Chandrababu Naidu told the party would fight for this cause till the award was announced.
