The Congress is, in principle, in favour of separate Telangana, but there are some hurdles which are being sorted out, Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy has said.
Addressing a public meeting here on Thursday, the Chief Minister wanted people to ask the TRS how it proposed to achieve separate Telangana aligning with the CPI(M), which was opposed to the issue tooth and nail.
Dr. Reddy laid the foundation for the second phase of Kakatiya Thermal Power Station that envisages production of 500 MW of power.
He urged the people not to believe what the leaders of ‘grand alliance’ and ‘mega alliance’ were saying. “The CPI (M) is still opposing separate Telangana. Then how did TRS join hands with the grand alliance?” he asked
