Chandrababu calls Chiranjeevi’s bluff

Chiranjeevi’s latest outburst that the Satyam scandal had its genesis in the TDP regime drew a sharp rebuke from the TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu. He said that Chiranjeevi’s nervousness of the inevitable defeat of his party is becoming evident by the day. Unable to construct an agenda of his own, Chiranjeevi is trying to gain publicity by targeting parties in the grand alliance that are fast gaining momentum as the polls are nearing. He equated Chiranjeevi to the failed charioteer Salya in the epic Mahabharata and said, Chiranjeevi should either take up arms or fight the corrupt Congress or he can just keep quiet, observe and learn. Chandrababu reiterated that the grand alliance will for the time being not have a joint agenda. He however did not rule out the possibility of having one in the aftermath of the polls. Responding to a query on his stand on irrigation Chandrababu said that he only was against the corruption in irrigation projects and was not against irrigation projects.
