The sensational Rs. 7000-crore fraud case of the software giant Satyam has now moved into the corridors of the CBI. The A.P government issued a GO (bearing MS No: 100) to this effect on Friday the 13th of this month. This development came about after Mr. K.Achyutan of Investor Hub in Kerala moved a petition in the high court asking for the investigation to move to the CBI. The petition was put up for hearing by Justice G. Rohini. In a parallel development the arrested PWC auditors allegedly involved in the Satyam fraud, have been denied bail. The court observed since the investigations in the case have not yet been completed the accused cannot be granted bail. Subsequent hearing on the petition has been set for an undisclosed date. The IT department too had put forward another petition requesting that it be granted permission to interrogate Ramalinga Raju for a 3-day period. The court has pronounced that the response to this petition will be given on Wednesday 18th February.
