The CM is moving ahead with a single-minded mission. By the 2014 polls he wants the TDP cleaned out bottom-up. Kovur, Secunderabad, Adilabad, Kurnool – these are the multiple fronts on which the Congress is eating the TDP from the inside. The strategy is simple. Target popular TDP leaders who are most vulnerable and buy them out either with money or power or a combination of both. Mandal by mandal, district by district the CM’s most trusted emissaries are carrying out this mission. Heading the mission is PCC president D Srinivas. In fact the ministerial berths were given to those who were deemed most capable to take on Chandrababu Naidu and KCR in their regions. The TDPleaders are saying that they have confirmed reports that Prasanna had a ½ hr 1-on-1 session with YSR before he shot of the 1st letter missile on Chandrababu. Talsani Srinivas Yadav too had session, the TDP insiders allege, at the CM’s camp office. Kurnool’s TDP cadre is now in the Congress’s radar. The target is Bala Nagi Reddy. Late last week Adilabad’s TDP cadre was almost drained out with 12 ZPTC members crossing over to the Congress. The next on the list is Mahaboobnagar. This aggressive campaign has definitely put the TDP on the backfoot!
