The CM Dr YSR Reddy was in his elements while addressing a huge rally in Nizamabad. He blasted the Mahakutami for indulging in a no-holds barred struggle for power. He said the leaders in Mahalutami were only for power and had no policies that would benefit the people. He said the people of Telengana will not fall prey to the devious policies of KCR and will teach him an appropriate lesson at the polls. He said the TRS owed an explanation to the people as to how it would get a separate statehood if the left parties were against it. He also took on Chiranjeevi and the PRP and said that the erstwhile matinee idol should realize that politics is not a 2-hour show. While accusing Chiranjeevi of a fundamental lack of politics and agricultural policies, the CM said the irrigation projects that were underway would change the fortunes of lakhs of agricultural families in the state for the better. The Congress, YSR Reddy concluded was the only party with the vision and courage to implement those policies.
