Since the last two days, the entire state has been talking of only one thing and this seems to have become more important than the forthcoming elections or the just passed Ugadi festival. That is the accident of young tiger NTR. Right now, he is recovering and prayers and yagnas have already started for his speedy recovery and good health. Meanwhile, the practical political analysts have now got to their tables and are trying to figure out if this incident can lead to any sort of sympathy wave for the Telugu Desam Party. Junior had created a storm with his political tour but the happiness of his presence has been shortlived for the TDP members due to this unfortunate incident.
While there is no such gesture or movement that is being seen from the party end to capitalize on this situation, it is being said that all those areas that have been visited by NTR are already shocked with the incident and a sort of attachment and concern has been rising there. But whether this feeling of concern will last till the day of the elections or even if it does, will it actually get converted into a vote for the Telugu Desam Party, that remains to be seen.
So it is a kind of litmus test for the Yellow brigade to see if they would really like to use something like this just for political mileage or would they let junior be for himself and take the battle all by themselves. Sources from TDP say that Jr NTR has given his heart and soul for the canvassing the past few days and given his efforts, they will try and make up for his absence by putting in double efforts. So it remains to be seen if these efforts will be aided by a sympathy wave or not…
