Political analysts in the state are wondering aloud as to why PRP’s Chiranjeevi is targeting the TDP in general and Chandrababu Naidu in particular. Chiranjeevi alleges that the opposition has failed. The Grand alliance members respond by stating that they have consistently stood up against the Congress on key issues impacting the public at large. Examples cited include Bhoo Poratam, TDP’s Mee Kosam Yatra against price rise, corruption law and order. They point out that Chiranjeevi in contrast has done precious little, except for campaigning for his party and self. They have asked the PRP to show instances where Chiranjeevi has stood and campaigned against any key issue that has impacted public policy in the recent six months. They also point out that this lack of participation in public issues will be the sole reason for his failure in the coming polls. They advised him to focus on the people as opposed to targeting a proven leader like Chandrababu Naidu.
