There is something that is not jelling with honest IT business practices and the state of Andhra Pradesh. In January it was Satyam. Now, in February it is a group of technology professionals, who have apparently indulged in one of the biggest H-1B visa fraud in US history. According to information coming in, US federal authorities have arrested at least 11 persons, most of them either Indian or persons of Indian origin from Andhra Pradesh. The name that is cropping up frequently is Vision Systems Group (VSG), an IT company headquartered in South Plainfield, New Jersey, and its Indian operations office in Hyderabad, India. VSG has been indicted on 10 federal counts including conspiracy and mail fraud. Mr. Viswa Mandalapu is its CEO. The US is seeking for feature of $7.4 million in proceeds raised through the offences. US attorney, Mr. Matthew Whitker, said that “this is just the tip of the iceberg.” Authorities have also arrested Shiva Neeli in Boston, Ramakrishna Maguluri in Atlanta, Villappan Subbhaih in Dallas and Suresh Pola in Philadelphia. The list of arrests also include Chockalingham Palaniappan,Vijay Myneni in San Jose, Venkata Guduru, Amit Justa in New Jersey, Vishnu Reddy, president of West Specific Corporation in Santa Clara, in Los Angeles and Praveen Andapally, president of Venturi-soft Inc.in south Plainfield New Jersey.
