TDP legislators Yerran Naidu and Nagam Janardhan Reddy blasted the LS party and its chief JP Narayan for organizing dharnas in front of the TDP office. They raised objections to the manner in which LS candidates hurled chappals at TDP candidates. Referring to the remark that TDP was mark II of the Congress, Yerran Naidu countered by saying that LS was not even a party that had clear goals in mind. Its only objective, the TDP leader alleged was to sabotage the electoral chances of the TDP. He challenged JP to come out clearly on how a party as young as Lok Satta could have Rs. 59 crores in the bank while the TDP with a 25+ years history had only Rs. 10 crores in the bank. Yerran Naidu said the party sold memberships like resorts! He was referring to regular, gold and platinum memberships sold by Lok Satta party. “With a 1.6% vote share, it always is amusing to watch JP claim that he will defeat Chandrababu Naidu in Kuppam”, the TD legislators said! They alleged that though the voice was JP’s all his remarks were scripted by the Congress propaganda machine.
