As the government gets ready for its July 1st deadline of weeding out bogus ration cards, TDP the main opposition party is seeing for itself an opportunity to garner precious political mileage. Sources who attended the 3-day conclave say there was a special 7-hour session devoted to macro-level logistics of how to plan and execute district wise agitations of families “affected” by bogus ration cards. The modus operandi on a broad level is to proceed like this. The local leaders will select a few minority and SC ST Families whose cards have been weeded out and will organize multiple flash dharnas in front of district collector offices statewide. The TDP thus aims to paralyze functioning of normal government activities and defame the government. The TDP says that the Congress government resorted to the same tactic when the TDP was in power in 1994-99 period.
