If the collections in West Godavari and Nellore district are any indication, Arundhati could well turn out to be Tollywood’s biggest ever grosser. In every town in these two districts Arundhati has exceeded even Pokiri’s collections. In Rajahmundry (East) and Cuddapah the movie crossed Pokiri’s collection in a mere 42 days. Arundhati has completed 100 days in 57 centers. And by this time it was only Rs. 70 lacs behind Pokiri in overall collections in the theatres. If current trends are any indication it is likely to cross that figure too and will comfortably become a benchmark for collections in Tollywood. That Arundhati has set itself up against Pokiri and in more centers than not, is winning the collections race against it, is in itself a tribute to its makers Shyam, Rahul and the entire unit of Mallemaala.
