Taking a break from gruelling electioneering over the past couple of months, Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu went to an ‘undisclosed’ destination abroad along with his wife Bhuvaneswari.
Party sources said Mr. Naidu left the city early on Saturday probably to some destination in Europe where he will be joined by his son Lokesh and daughter-in-law Brahmani later. There was a talk that Mr. Naidu would leave for the United States that was followed by his possible holiday in Singapore even as a section of party leaders stated that he had gone to New Zealand.
It is not new for the TDP president to maintain secrecy over his visits abroad. Mr. Naidu surfaced in Maldives on an earlier occasion contrary to expectations that he had flown to the US. He is expected to return to the city on May 8 night.
