KCR had become synonymous with his party the TRS, and the party in turn till the 2009 polls, had become synonymous with the Telengana movement. However, after 23rd April things have drastically changed for the worse for both KCR and the TRS. Balladeer Gaddar and Dileep Kumar are making strategic moves to hijack the movement away from KCR. They strongly feel that KCR has bowed to the diktats of power and diluted the movement. People familiar with the ebbs and flows of the movement fear that with the intervention of Gaddar the call for a separate statehood is likely to take a “path of conflict.” The consequent results, they feel, will in all probability place a severe strain on the law and order front for Dr YSR Reddy. Gaddar on his part was very upset that none of the Telengana parties intervened to prevent his arrest.
