The “path of conflict” route for Telengana statehood is gaining momentum with Harish Rao of the TRS throwing his weight behind the idea. KCR’s silence in the role is deafening and Sabitha Indira Reddy will very soon have her first challenge in her “home” portfolio. The TRS is fast losing its position as the epicenter of the Telengana movement and the youth in various districts are veering towards Prakash’s idea of simultaneous agitations to pressurize the governments in Hyderabad and Delhi. The BCs in Telengana are solidly backing Praskash and KCR’s TRS is increasingly being projected as a “Dorala Party”. All said and done KCR was always favoring a democratic solution for the Telengana problem. This is something that the new leaders seem to be avoiding. Efforts are also being made to recruit various student level bodies into the agitation so as to make it difficult for the police to initiate and implement tough counter measures.
