Devender Goud is a worried man these days. The reason is, he is not sure if the voters will recognize his linkage to the PRP and vote for the rail engine. Many of the voters in Malkajgiri still associate him with his Nava Telengana Party (NTP). Goud in fact blames the media for the confusion and on more than one occasion has declared that sections of the media have deliberately spread misinformation about the status of the NTP’s merger with the PRP. Devender Goud is pitted against Sarve Satyanarayana of the Congress and Bhimsen of the TDP and N Indrasena Reddy of the BJP. He is definitely worried about the tough fight that the BJP and the Congress would give him. But Goud is also worried about the impact of the migrants in Malkajgiri who have clearly voted against the concept of a separate statehood. And this is where, he feels he might lose out to the Congress candidate Sarve Satyananrayana.
