The PRP chief Chranjeevi may be claiming to become the next chief minister of the state. But his party is not exactly in good shape. Chiranjeevi is now contesting the elections from Tirupathi and Palakollu.
While he will have a pretty easy ride in Palakollu due to the fact that he is a son-in-law of the place and he hails from the neighboring Mogalthur in Narsapuram, it is not so easy in Tirupathi.
The congress nominee Karunakar Reddy is a formidable opponent for Chiranjeevi. Karunkar Reddy is a local and has a wide support among the residents of Tirupathi cutting across caste lines. Karunakar Reddy is confident of a win while the PRP says that it will be a close fight but not a cakewalk for Chiranjeevi.
