PRP Chief Chiranjeevi went hammer and tongs on Chandrababu’s cash transfer scheme. Referring to Chandrababu’s oft repeated mode of getting black money from the Swiss bank for the scheme, Chiranjeevi said that the TDP chief was talking as if “his atthagaari sommu’’ is lodged in the vaults of the Swiss banks. He said the people should take due care and precaution in exercising their vote for the Mahakutami. The scheme the actor alleged was not implementable. Chiranjeevi criticised the implementation of the Polavaram project in his tour of west Godavari district. He said ad-hoc norms were being used to implement the project. Spillways were represented as concrete works and monies were being siphoned off by contractors, Chiranjeevi said. Poor farmers from whom lands were seized for the project purposes were yet to receive their fair market compensation from the government.
