Telugu Desam on Friday asked Congress MLA Daggubati Venkateswara Rao to clarify if he and his wife Purandeswari were not party to the decision for leadership change and supported N. Chandrababu Naidu in 1995.
At a press conference, senior Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders K. Yerran Naidu and Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy said contrary to what the Daggubati couple was claiming now under the influence of the Congress, the entire NTR’s family and majority of the Telugu Desam Party MLAs supported the change of guard to save the party. .
