Is it a case of confusion most confounded in Chiranjeevi's Prajarajyam party or are the party satraps deliberately revving up the suspense to make the common symbol row a hit show in the eyes of the electorate?
A seemingly bewildered Chiranjeevi on Friday added more confusion to the common symbol issue when he claimed that their fight with the Election Commission would go on till the apex court clears the mess. His remarks have clearly stunned the party circles as it was barely two days ago that the party had withdrawn its petition from the High Court, hinting that it was close to tying up a symbol with some recognised defunct parties from north-east.
Speaking to reporters at Gudivada on Friday after winding up his three-day Krishna district tour, the PRP president said they have filed a fresh petition in the Supreme Court on the issue. "Though we are making alternative arrangements, our legal battle with the EC on the allotment of a common symbol will continue till its fate is decided by the Supreme Court," said Chiranjeevi.
