Eenadu newspaper published an article with a list of probable candidates for 2009 Loksabha elections. Party is trying to field many stalwarts in the upcoming Loksabha polls. TDP may contest in just 4-5 constituencies in Telangana region due to poll alliances. Party may ask many seniors to contest for Loksabha Polls. Telugu Desam Party will not contest in 14-16 Loksabha segments due to poll alliances. Party will support TRS, CPM and CPI candidates in these constituencies.

Telugu Desam party may contest in 26-27 seats. TRS will contest in 9 seats. CPM may contest in 3 seats while CPI may contest in 2 seats. TDP will support an independent candidate in Hyderabad. We will get more clarity on Telengana after the completition of seat sharing agreement.
