NTR trust is more than making its presence felt as far as the Vijayawada flood victims are concerned. Rajya Sabha member Harikrishna began distribution of a saree, dhoti, bed sheet, 10 kg rice and pulses to approximately 20,000 families identified by the trust as victims. The distribution began at 8 am in Kesineni Bhavan in the city. The program has generated tremendous goodwill for the TDP and will stand it in good stead for many years to come. Mr Rama Rao of the TDP criticized the government for coming out with a mere 14,000 families as flood victims and said that the number was way larger than that. The TDP blasted the government and said that grave injustice was being meted out to the to the people of Vijayawada. The TDP said MP Lagadapati Rajagopal should come out with a special package for the people in Vijayawada town.
