Both Chiranjeevi and Yerran Naidu ruled out any possibility of the TDP and PRP coming under one common umbrella to fight the Congress in any election going forward. The idea of a TDP-PRP alliance was first mooted by Narayana of the CPI. The left leader has a strong feeling that the Congress is gaining ground by the day and it cannot be stopped unless Chandrababu and Chiranjeevi join hands. But the parties concerned would have none of it. Chiranjeevi commented that it does not make sense of the PR to have an alliance with the TDP as many leaders from that party have already joined his party. The TDP too echoed similar sentiments. However both the parties expressed hope of aligning with the left parties for the GHMC election. The PRP is all set to release its first list comprising of 50 contestants for the GHMC election.
