PRP’s slide is happening rather quickly.Amidst reports that Devender Goud and Tammineni Sitaram are going back to the TDP, Chiranjeevi lashed out at Chandrababu in utter confusion and helplessness. He described the TD leader as a person who has lost his mental stability. With Allu Arvind taking his hands off the wheel, the PRP is drifting into a general direction of political backwaters. Seniors like Hari Rama Jogayya and Upendra had warned Chiranjeevi against getting too comfortable with the Congress and targeting the TDP alone. But Chiranjeevi in the pre-poll phase did not listen to them. The Congress has always had the culture of playing one regional party against another and in the process gaining invaluable political mileage for itself. Chiranjeevi, according to the party insiders is now focusing on organizing a series of rallies on price rise from July 16th onwards. And in at least 17 of 23 districts he is not finding enough logistical support to go ahead with the rallies.
