Praja Rajyam president Chiranjeevi on Saturday lashed out at the Congress and the Telugu Desam for encouraging defections rather than doing anything constructive to help improve the lives of people as expected of them for being the ruling and main opposition parties respectively.
At a press conference on Saturday, Mr. Chiranjeevi said, “While the Congress appears to be doing everything to stay in power forever, the TDP seems to be planning how to improve its chances in the next elections, four years and nine months away,” he said, adding that this marked what was probably a new chapter in State politics.
