Over 50% of the segments in Guntur will be bagged by the TDP this time. Pedakurapadu, Vemuru, Raepalle, Tenali, Bapatla, Prathipadu, Guntur (West), Gurujada, Vinukonda and Chilakularipeta are as good as money in the bank for the TDP. The “hand” has left its imprint on Tadikonda, Ponnuru, Macehrla and Narasaraopet. The PRP’s lone win according to our survey can come about in Mangalalagiri. Guntur East and Sathenapalle are too close to call. In the former the TDP and the PRP are slugging it out, while in Sathenappale the Congress and the TDP are fighting for a win. Guntur district has actually showed a deviation in trends. The voters here tend to vote en-masse for one party. In this election however they have shown a clear demarcation of loyalties. They have preferred either the Congress or the TDP and have by and large ignored the PRP.
