PRP could come into play even at 25 seats

In less than a week, many PRP leaders are licking their lips in anticipation of a huge windfall. As long as the TDP or the Congress do not get the 148 seats by themselves, the PRP even with as low as 25 seats could turn out to be a kingmaker of sorts. The political paradigm in the state is simple, whether the PRP wins or not, its MLAs are rightly feeling they are sitting atop a mind boggling monetary windfall. The Congress especially is convinced that it can rope in at least 25 MLAs from the PRP for one price or another. Chiranjeevi too, despite Aswini Dutt’s best attempts too woo him into the TDOP is apparently very wary of the TDO chief and is in no mood to sideline the likes of Amar Singh. Amar Singh on more than one occasion has openly said that if a fourth front was not forthcoming they would throw their weight behind a anti-NDA, pro-secular government, which in this case is most likely to be a Congress-led UPA. So it is not that difficult to guess where Chiranjeevi’s alignments and loyalties would lay.
