NTR trust to provide free education to poor children

The TDP has decided to adopt 294 poor children, one from each assembly constituency and provide free education to them in the school run by NTR memorial trust.
Addressing the leaders and workers from Krishna, Chittoor, East Godavari districts on Sunday here, the party president N Chandrababu Naidu said that the party apart from implementing all the promises like colour TV and cash transfer scheme soon after coming to power would also adopt one poor student from each constituency and give them free education till SSC every year.
Thanking the party workers for the efforts they had put in to take the cash transfer and colour TV schemes to the people, he said TDP should learn lessons from the failures of the Congress party. He said if the Congress workers had focussed on the problems faced by the citizens, the outbreak of cholera in Hyderabad could have been avoided.
He blamed the state administration for its failure to take preventive steps against the spread of water-borne diseases like gastroenteritis during summer. Naidu said there are three ministers in the health department but unfortunately none of them are available nor did they try to bring the situation under control.
He said during his visit to the hospitals the relatives of the patients complained to him that the authorities did not act in time despite bringing the problems to their notice. “It is a man-made calamity,” he added.
In the backdrop of such incidence, he said, the party cadre should continue to work for the people 24×7 and bring local problems to the notice of the administration. The cadre should be the watchdog and help the government in efficient discharge of its duties.
In return, he promised to take care of the cadre who has been with the party and worked in a selfless manner.
